Horny and Legends. How Listening and Interacting Closely with the Community Shaped Our Game

It’s been a year since Horny Legends was released - first as an open beta in select countries, and later worldwide.

This year has been packed with content, updates, and a constant search for themes and features that would resonate with our fan base. None of it would’ve been possible without staying in direct contact with our community: listening to their opinions and actively engaging in conversations about the game.From the very beginning, we created a space for players to interact, share feedback, and connect with one another. Week after week, we closely observed how the community reacted to new offers and updates. This allowed us to respond directly to demand—whether it came in a straightforward request or a joke dropped in a Discord chat.

Thanks to this close interaction, we’ve been able to roll out regular content updates featuring new offers that players can showcase in weekly contests - a staple activity that continues to this day. These contests reward creativity and give players a chance to express themselves using Horny Legends’ AI card generation features. The main prize? In-game currency, of course.

The Advent Calendar Event

One of our first major community events took place in December: the Advent Calendar. During this event, players could earn in-game rewards and participate in fun activities. It created several unforgettable moments that new players still hear stories about.

One such moment came from an activity where players had to choose between claiming a certain amount of in-game goods or doubling the amount and passing it on to the next player. Within an hour, the value snowballed into millions, prompting memes, laughter, and epic reactions from our community managers. The whole thing became a legend of its own.

From Memes to Real Cards: The Rise of Burger Chan

Our player base constantly inspires us with new ideas - sometimes seriously, sometimes in jest. One of the best examples is Burger Chan. After nearly every new theme we released, someone in the community would joke: "But when are we getting Burger Chan?"

Eventually, we gave in. After a few months of refining the prompt, Burger Chan became a reality. When it launched, players flooded Discord with their creations, praising the player who’d championed the idea from the beginning. It was a fun, wholesome moment that reminded us how valuable community input truly is.

Navigating Controversy Together

While most updates have been well received, there have been times when we introduced changes that sparked mixed - or even negative - reactions. In those moments, we couldn’t have navigated the situation without the help of our moderator team: players who’ve consistently shown dedication to the game and a willingness to represent the community's voice.

Thanks to them, we’re able to stay informed about the community’s mood and steer our development in the right direction. Their involvement has been crucial in maintaining a healthy, evolving relationship between the devs and the players.

It’s been a wild ride - and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chose to join us on this journey. The future is bright and packed with exciting updates, and we can’t wait to share them with everyone who continues to play and support Horny Legends!
