Ah, the golden age of porn – made famous by its bad acting, great music, and big hair!

Most of us are too young to remember the primo smut our parents (or grandparents!) lusted over back in the day, and with all the great porn today, it’s kind of hard to go back to. Older porn was erotica for a different time and way different sensibilities, and all things considered, we’ve definitely got it better today. Plus, let’s not beat around the bush: the porn industry has become much safer and way more diverse in the decades since!

But a trip down memory lane is fun sometimes, and that’s exactly what Porn Tycoon: The Golden Age has on tap. While plenty of our games let you live out your fantasy of working in the sex trade, Porn Tycoon is the only one that takes you back to the past for sexy retro raunch. You won’t be running a camgirl business or internet porn empire in this one – it takes before dial-up was even a thing! Instead, you’ll bring up a roster of sizzling starlets to be classic ‘80s porn queens, putting them front and center in a series of lewd, straight-to-VHS smash-hits!

(You do remember VHS, right?)

In this idle game, you and co-producer Victoria are tasked with making your porn studio into the next big thing. It’s a slow start – you’ll only have a dingy space and a few local amateurs to begin with – but over time, your top-notch smut will start getting some major attention and raking in the big bucks! You’ll use that capital to invest in snazzier studio space and sexier stars, which will lead to your first big breaks and eventual blockbuster success. Hire voluptuous librarians, dope disco divas, and many, many more to propel your humble studio into the annals (and anals) of porn history.

What really has us excited about Porn Tycoon is its unconventional and downright adorable art direction. Each girl is done up with in a distinctive pop art style that’s unlike anything else Nutaku has on offer. It’s a sexy blend of “cute” and “horny” that lends a period-accurate feel to the whole game, and sets it apart from other idle games on our platform. The soft, shiny way each gorgeous gal is illustrated is the platonic ideal of retro chic and vintage cool, and when you factor in some truly hot sex scenes, the result really has to be seen to be believed. 

Plus, developer DC are real ones for not only including the blonde beach bunnies that dominated porn of the day. Of the fifteen characters, several are beautiful and vivacious women of color which remind us that “1980s porn queen” doesn’t have look so bleached and vanilla.

If you want to take a trip down memory lane, but just can’t figure out the whole time travel thing (we’ve heard going 88 ½ MPH in a DeLorean might help,) Porn Tycoon is definitely something to keep on your radar. It’s a fun, frothy bit of cartoon filth with a stacked cast of diverse divas who are more than ready for their close-up.
