As most of you know, the turn-based strategy game, Girls on Tanks, was recently launched on Nutaku. The free-to-play browser game requires some of the best war strategies, so we thought it would be best to showcase some of our own strategies in the game. Let us know what you think of our strategies to keep the army of Winter’s Blood from taking over the world. For those unfamiliar with the game, I will add extra detail explaining how the game works.
In the image above, you will see that we are entering Stage 11 in Fraternity Hills. Fraternity Hills is the first location of the war with a solid 12 stages to beat before you can unlock the other locations. You’ll also want to be aware of the stamina required to enter each battle. The stamina icon is portrayed by the silver electric bolt. This prevents your army from entering too many battles before they are ready. In this case, it is 25 stamina to start the battle.
On the left hand side, you will see the female troops I have chosen for this battle. Every battle requires a Captain, Lieutenant and Sergeant under your Commander. Each member of your squad has a special skill that will help you in different missions. After reviewing the objective of the battle, I choose each rank accordingly. In this case, my goal is to survive for eight rounds, which can be difficult if I am not provided with enough troops. Therefore, I made sure to choose a sergeant that has the skill to airdrop a troop on my command. There are troops that randomly damage 2 Health Points (HP) on a certain number of enemies; however, that is not very beneficial to completing this particular mission. As General, it is your responsibility to be aware of the mission and choose the troops that will have the best success at completing the mission.
The two previous images reveal how many troops the army of Winter’s Blood has in comparison to our army. As the blue units, we stand with 6 forces against an impressive collection of 9 troops and artillery. Furthermore, previous battles have emphasized the importance of taking over the buildings before the enemy does. But how can I do so while staying alive? The opponent has enough power to annihilate my whole army within a few days! As a result, my initial strategy is to keep my weaker artillery far away from my opponent and to capture buildings in the meantime. Controlling the buildings leave the army of Winter’s Blood with less resources and therefore, reduces their chances of successfully implementing their devious plan. Not wanting to make any abrupt moves, I also know that laying low at the beginning of the mission will prolong my enemies from attacking. As a result, I will have a better chance at completing my mission.
In the image below, you will see a crate in the middle of the grass. These crates randomly pop up during battle. You’ll want to collect them as they either give you an energy boost or provide an extra soldier on the battlefield. When reaching for the crates, do not make the mistake to corner yourself in a location surrounded by water. Your vehicles and troops cannot travel across water unless you have an aircraft. This is also useful information for when you strategically place your troops away from an enemy or planning an attack on one of your opponents as they may be surrounded by water.
In this particular mission, it will count down the days until you’ve completed the goal. In the next image, you will notice that I have been in battle for 3 days since each turn represents one day in battle. What you don’t see in the picture is that some of my troops are off fighting other soldiers in the northern hemisphere. This is also where I went to get the extra crate for an extra troop. You will notice, however, that my women are surrounded by an absurd amount of enemies with much higher HPs than my troops. At this point I had to use one of my soldier’s special skills, which was to airdrop an extra troop. As you can tell on the left hand side of the field, over the building, that my troop appeared with zero HP deducted.
Along the left side of the screen, you will notice all my current soldiers on the field. You’ll be able to use each of their skills during battle. You’re allowed to use each skill once and then you must fund any additional uses. They are funded by the crystals you accumulate from winning other battles or from purchasing in the shop. If you know you are short on crystals, it is actually best to buy them in the shop at a discounted price.
After a couple of turns, I literally just had 2 units on the battlefield against an army. I therefore decided to make a lot of drastic moves. I had enough crystals to damage 2 HP from 3 random units, twice, and get an extra Bazooka unit. At this point, I was lucky that my Special Booster filled up, which is located under my commander on the top left corner. The Special Booster fills up as you eliminate opponents. Once filled, you must activate it to give all your troops extra HP. Overall, using the skills of my soldiers, claiming the crates available in battle and holding fire for as long as possible, I was able to survive for eight days in battle.
After successfully completing a mission, you will see what medal you earned based on your speed, strength and technique. In my case, I got a silver medal in addition to 5 crystals and the silver treasure chest. I believe I did not receive the gold medal because I let the Winter’s Blood Army control most of the buildings in the battle. The silver medal still granted me a treasure chest that included 75 creds (green discs) that help you upgrade your squad, and I received loyalty points for six of my female warriors. In other words, by winning battles, you gain their trust, and they open up to you. I earned loyalty points for six of my warriors of which the most notable ones were Dianne with an increase of 2 loyalty points, getting her loyalty up to 17 on a total of 20, and increasing Amber’s loyalty, by getting an extra loyalty point that surpassed her total loyalty score.
My right hand girl, Amber, trusts my judgement in battle and enjoys my commands off the battlefield as well. A good way to increase loyalty faster is too open the free gachas every six hours. You can also receive more loyalty points and creds by obtaining the more impressive gachas. Fortunately, they are quite affordable as you can easily buy one by obtaining enough crystals, by winning a few battles. Once you reach a female’s loyalty score, you will also have the option to rank her up using creds. Evidently, it is beneficial to rank up your troops as their defense and attacks with strengthen. It is also ideal to invest in your Commanders as there are less Commanders than any other ranking, thus, you will require them in battle more often.
General, you are now equipped with some basic training. The primary points you should take to war is to choose your troops according to your mission, and then ensure that you rank them up for the most successful outcome. You should also decide your plan of attack based on the number of troops on the field as well as the strength of each army. Finally, use tricks like collecting crates to empower your army and control the buildings in the area for better chances at getting the gold medal. You are now ready to commence your journey and develop your war strategies even further.
Save the world from the Winter’s Blood here.
All the best,
