April is Stress Awareness month and although we know that our awesome players know how to effectively fap their stress away, we want to make sure that you’re aware of all the other great ways to manage hard times!..no pun intended. We, at Nutaku, would love to take this opportunity to share some useful coping skills and lifestyle tips throughout the month, to help reduce some of the stress that we all may experience on a daily basis.
This week, the avenue that we’ll be taking to explore stress reduction is through our stomach. Eating can actually minimize your stress- however, we’re not speaking about the typical “comfort food” type of snacking. Keep reading to find out which stress-relieving foods to throw into your diet to boost your mood… and maybe even your libido;)
This sweet treat is sure to uplift your mood thanks to its flavonoids and antioxidants that help reduce effects of stress on the mind and body. Some of us, here at Nutaku, like to keep a stash of chocolate on deck to help us get through rough times. Consuming dark chocolate, in moderation, can definitely save the day!
Cashews are an excellent source of zinc. Why’s that important? Our body has no way of storing zinc, and low levels of zinc have been linked to depression and anxiety- so, if we were you, we’d get to munchin’ on deez nuts pronto.
Yet another great source of zinc… but let’s be honest, we know that oysters are popular for being fantastic aphrodisiacs.. so you’d be killing two birds with one stone when it comes to reducing stress with these gems right here. Efficiency is key!
Not only is this fruit known to be a natural mood lifter, but it’s also hailed as a “natural Viagra” for males. The antioxidants that give blueberries their dark color also assist the brain in dopamine production. Why’s this info necessary? Well, dopamine affects your behavior, emotions, and mood. Dopamine boosts the feeling of pleasure and allows us to experience positive feelings. In addition, the blood promoting properties in blueberries make them assist your boners naturally, making your hard moments, even harder (pun intended, this time).
This deliciously creamy-textured superfood regulates your blood sugar levels, helping your mood stay balanced in times of stress. Here’s a fun fact. The Aztecs used to call avocados, ahuacatl, back in the day- which means “testicle”, thanks to their shape, and the fact that they grow in pairs. We can’t help but think that the Aztecs would’ve definitely liked spending time surfing the Nutaku site with that type of lewd humor. Hehe.
Another mood and libido booster FTW! Pomegranate is considered a natural aphrodisiac due to its ability to enhance testosterone levels in both men and women- which subsequently increases sex drive. A delectable fruit that reduces oxidative stress and blood pressure, AND gets you in the mood?! Can you give us one reason NOT to stock up on pomegranate?! Didn’t think so.
We’re hoping you found some of these stress reducing/libido boosting food tips helpful! Hopefully you’re scheduling a trip to the nearest grocery store to incorporate some of these foods into your diet. What are some of your fav foods that help you get in a better mood? Let us know @nutakugames!
